All I can say Maria was a beautiful person she always treated me good you will be missed and so will your delicious rice pudding that you always made for me when I came to see you may you rest in peace sweetie until we meet again love you forever Susie.🦋❤️

I fondly remember Maria as my moms best friends (Anita, whom I’m named after!)  mother. Maria was the life of the party wherever she was and brought light wherever she went. Heaven has truly gained an angel. 


I was about 4 or 5 while living in San Antonio. I was running across the street in front of our house when this car hit me and Mary was the first one out of the house. She picked me up and put me in the man’s back seat and asked the man (who hit me) to take us to the hospital. The doctors in the hospital stitched up my ankle. That’s all I remember. 
She is the one who nicknamed me “El Rey” and later in life called me “bebito” because I was the baby of the family.
She was the BEST enchilada maker with her asbestos fingers!

It had to have been in the mid- 1990s when my father Alberto Ramirez owned a ranch out in the high desert. Growing up in that area kept us outside a lot, especially when Dad had all them acres of land. My brothers and I were playing inside the house one day and I must’ve said the “S” word in front of auntie. She marched over my way; grabbed me by the ear and took me to the restroom. The first thing auntie does was to grab a bar of soap and shoved it in my mouth. My good O’l auntie. I Love you darling and you take care of yourself in Heaven. God rest your soul. Give my Love to my Father. See you on the other side.

My heartfelt condolences to all the family.  
My favorite memories of Aunt Mary are the times we spent in the kitchen, her trying to teach me how to cook Mexican food.  I would try to be healthy and trim fat from the meats and she would throw it back in the pot! Her meals were delicious.  The best tamales I ever ate were the ones we made together; I'm not sure they will ever be so good again.  

Whenever we would talk on the phone in the evening she always ended our conversations with "good bye, I love you,  sleep with the angels".  Aunt Mary is one of the angels now. I love her and will miss her. 

As a young teen I remember her coming over to visit my parents Ernest and Stella Medina.  Sometimes they would bring Tia Ramona and my two cousins Gloria and Chelo and we would have blast on Sundays.  I remember she was one of the few family member that had a car in those days nick named the green beetle because  it had a hole in the back floor board it was always an adventure.  Emma (Maria) could really tear up the dance floor to the music of the 50’s.  You will always be Emma to us in San Antonio
