Matthew Isiah Facer, age 19, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and whose hearts are forever changed by his loss.
Matthew was born on July 5, 2007, in Van Nuys, California. He lived in Lancaster and later made his home in Palmdale, California.
Matthew was a happy, goofy, and loving young man with a beautiful smile that could brighten the lives of those around him. He had a special way of bringing happiness and laughter to his family, and his loving heart will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Matthew had a deep love for animals. He especially adored his mom’s cats, Bella, Katana, and Ace; his Aunt Jennifer’s cat, Gianna; and his grandmother’s dogs, Cuddles and Travis. His love for animals was just one of the many things that showed the gentle and caring person he was.
Matthew had a true passion for metal music. He loved going to metal shows, experiencing the energy of the music, and getting right into the mosh pits. These were moments where Matthew could simply be himself, surrounded by music he loved and the excitement of the crowd. He also loved fitness and spending time at the gym, another passion that brought him happiness.
Matthew’s unexpected passing was a heartbreaking tragedy for his family. Though his life was far too short, the love, laughter, memories, and moments he shared with those around him will remain forever.
Matthew is survived by his mother, Cassandra Facer; his brother, Marcus Facer; his grandmother, Patricia Housel; his grandfather, William Facer; his aunt, Jennifer Facer; his uncle, Jacob Facer; and his cousins, Calvin Young, Jorden Young, and Silas Facer, along with many other family members and loved ones who will forever carry him in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Davis.
Matthew will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed. His beautiful smile, goofy personality, loving heart, and the joy he brought to those around him will never be forgotten.
