Agnes "Aggie" Victoria Platzer

Agnes (Aggie) Platzer, 59, of Lancaster, CA went home to our Lord on June 23, 2022. Born and raised in Pacoima, CA, Aggie moved to Palmdale, CA in 1995 and she lived in the Antelope Valley the rest of her life. Aggie attended Guardian Angel Catholic Elementary School in Pacoima, CA and was a longtime parishioner at Guardian Angel Church before moving to the Antelope Valley. She graduated from San Fernando High School in 1981 and began working for Mervyn’s Department Store in Sun Valley, CA as a Retail Associate while she was still in high school. In 2007, she promoted to a Retail Supervisor position with Kohl’s Department Store where she supervised over three departments. She earned several ‘Associate of the Month’ and ‘Associate of the Year’ awards at both department stores. Aggie devoted a total of 41 years of her career in the retail industry.

Aggie’s greatest love was spending time and celebrating festivities with her family and friends. She adored her children and grandchildren. She was a person of strong faith and values and was a treasured friend to many. She was loving, kind, generous and always eager and willing to lend a helping hand.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Manuel and Lupe Hernandez, five brothers and two sister-in-laws, Jose Hernandez, Michael & Emma Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez, Ignacio(Nacho) & Laura Hernandez, and Mario Hernandez; seven sisters and five brother-in-laws, Maria(Nena)Mendoza, Rosalie & Jess Castillo, Guadalupe & Paul Ortego, Martha & Manuel Medina, Valeria & Fausto Galvan, Gemma Delgado, and Susie & Michael Perry and many nieces, nephews (great), cousins, aunts and uncles.

Surviving are her three dear sons, Cruz Campos, Christopher Platzer & Jonathan Platzer; and daughter, Ana Campos and four cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Laylani, Jaylen & Anthony, eight Godchildren; Monica Galindo Medina, Gabrielle Delgado, Alejandra Delgado, Mathew Hernandez, Brenda Alvarez, Cindy Cortes, Cynthia Mendoza and Orlando Cortes.

A visitation for Agnes "Aggie" will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Poverello Retreat House, 1519 Woodworth St, San Fernando, CA 91340. A rosary will occur Friday, July 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 1519 Woodworth St, San Fernando, CA 91340. A funeral mass will occur Friday, July 15, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1519 Woodworth St, San Fernando, CA 91340.

Agnes "Aggie" will be laid to rest in San Fernando Mission Cemetery, 11160 Stranwood Ave, Mission Hills, CA 91345.
