Maria is survived by her daughters, Alba Ortiz and Beatriz Mejia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Angela Beadle, Michael Mejia, Ivan Mejia, Bryanna Ortiz, Edgar Ortiz, Natalie Ortiz, Giselle Ortiz, and Carolyne Ortiz. She was predeceased by her son, Juan Manuel Mejia.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Panorama City, located at 14629 Nordhoff Street, Panorama City, CA 91402, on November 11, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

A religious mass will be held at St Genevieve Catholic Church, located at 14061 Roscoe Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 91402, on November 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
