My Uncle Mark was truly an amazing man. Some of my happiest childhood memories are of time spent with him and my cousin. He filled our lives with love, laughter, and kindness, and he had a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for.

Whenever someone needed help, Mark was always there without hesitation. He was the kind of person you could count on, no matter the situation. His generosity, strength, and unwavering support touched so many lives.

One of the things I admired most about Mark was his strong faith in God. His faith was evident in the way he lived, the way he treated others, and the love he showed to those around him. While we grieve his loss and miss him deeply, we take comfort in knowing that he is now in heaven with the Lord. That faith gives us hope and peace, knowing that this is not goodbye forever and that we will see him again someday.

Even though my grandmother is unable to be here today, I know she would be if she could. Mark was her only son and the person she relied on most throughout her life. Their bond was incredibly special, and his loss is especially profound for her.

Mark's absence will be felt throughout our family forever, but so will the love, memories, and example he left behind. We were blessed to have him in our lives, and we will carry his memory in our hearts always.

Mark was a special person in all of our lives. Only love and time last forever. We will always love you, Mark.

In loving memory of papa Mark, a wonderful man who lived life to the fullest. Above all else, his family and friends were his number one priority. He was incredibly generous, always ready to help anyone in need, and brought so much joy and laughter into every room he walked into. We are so grateful for the moments he shared with our family and our son. Papa Mark was loved completely, and he will be deeply missed.

I could say a million things… but what an honor it is to have known Mark…Always about family and going above and beyond for whoever, whenever you could. So much love for people and so kind to all… I spent half of my life knowing you… I’m so blessed to call you my best friend… and it goes beyond that…We are family…How awesome is that… a soul-mate doesn’t necessarily have to be a significant other… sometimes in life it is someone that you love unconditionally… and that is US 💜… I will always be by your side… And Don’t You Ever Forget It 💙

Mark Anthony Silva Sr. lived a life defined by service, strength, and love. A former Army Ranger of the 82nd Airborne Division, he carried the discipline and dedication of a soldier into every role he held. The roles he cherished most were those of son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather (Papa) and friend. To know Mark was to be touched by him, and the circle of people who called him family, by blood or by bond was wide. He leaves behind a legacy not just of memories, but of lessons. The kind of lessons only a strong, devoted man can teach. Ones that don’t fade when he does. Grief is the echo of wishing for more time, but gratitude is the gift of honoring the time that was given.
