

Born on July 22, 1931, in Villanova to Alfred Durand Norris and Lucille Lippincott Norris, Fred was a graduate of Tredyffrin/Easttown High School and a longtime resident of Malvern, Pennsylvania, and Avalon, New Jersey. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Sales Manager for Alling and Cory of Philadelphia until his retirement in 1999.
Fred was deeply committed to his community, serving as a volunteer fire policeman for the Paoli Station. His greatest passion was the Devon Horse Show, where he devoted over 70 years to security and grounds management in support of Bryn Mawr Hospital. Some of his fondest memories were spent in Avalon, enjoying afternoon beach naps and connecting with neighbors.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Lucille (Duffy) and Emily (Jim). He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; his daughters, Debbie Wright (Bill), Karen Norris (Cheryl), and Pam Rowland (Ike); and his grandchildren, Jaimie Wright, Darby Wright, and Megan Rowland.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Alleva Funeral Home, located at 1724 E. Lancaster Ave, Paoli, PA 19301. The visitation will be followed by a blessing and a dedicated time for friends and family to share remembrances. Information regarding lunch arrangements will be provided during the service.
