

Born on September 30, 1933, in New York City, Anne was the beloved daughter of Clara (Crivellone) and Lawrence Riccio. She was the cherished sister of Lawrence Riccio Jr. of Long Island, NY and Snow Piccolo of Boca Raton, Florida.
Anne is a proud graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School (Class of 1951). Anne married the love of her life, Eugene (Gene) Fontana in 1954. They shared an extraordinary 71 years of marriage - a testament to their enduring love.
Anne is survived by her husband, loving daughters, Donna Fontana (Bijou Ganguly) and Laura Fontana; her adoring grandchildren, Hannah Marshall and Max Anastasio; and her great-grandson, Rhett Harshaw.
Anne was the heart and soul of her family-the joyful center from which love, fun, and meaningful traditions flowed. She planned countless family gatherings, always ensuring that each occasion was filled with connection, celebration, and cherished memories.
Known for her gentle spirit and calming presence, Anne had an innate ability to comfort those around her. Her culinary passions reflected her heritage and curiosity—starting with beloved Italian dishes and later embracing the bold flavors of Indian cuisine.
Anne took immense pride in her grandchildren, never missing a chance to encourage their dreams or celebrate their achievements. Her unwavering support and high expectations helped shape the lives of those she loved most.
A lifelong learner and explorer, Anne delighted in traveling with her husband and friends. Together, they journeyed through Europe, across the United States (including Alaska), and throughout the Caribbean. She also relished social outings, always enjoying good friends and lively conversation.
For over a decade, Anne was a devoted member of a book club, where she formed lasting friendships while sharing a love of literature.
Anne lived a life marked by deep compassion, quiet strength, and joyful generosity. Her warmth and wisdom continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed-and forever remembered.
At the family's request, services are private.
Interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
