

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Donato was retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance company where he worked as a salesman. He later worked for C.N. Agnew Realtors in Wayne, where he was a resident for 60 years.
Mr. Donato was a life-long lover of music. He played the guitar and was a member of the Bryn Mawr Mainliners, a barbershop chorus. During the 1960s he also worked as a radio announcer for a Philadelphia folk-music station.
He was also an avid photographer, an excellent cook, and very active in his church, Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Strafford.
"He was a true Renaissance man," recalled his son, Arthur Jr.
One of 12 children born in Philadelphia, Mr. Donato is survived by a brother Richard, and three sisters, Eleanor DiMarco, Vivian Damario, and Norita Donato.
He is also survived by his son, his daughter-in-law, June, and two grandchildren.
Mr. Donato's wife, Dolly, died in 1984. But his companion for the last 15 years, Dolly Damato, also survives him.
Viewing will be at Our Lady of Assumption, Tuesday 9 to 10 a.m. with a funeral mass to follow. Internment will be at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers a donation to his church would be appreciated.
