

Born in Los Angeles, California, Barbara was the daughter of the late Rosalie and Dominic Spinozzi. She was deeply proud of her Sicilian heritage, particularly her family’s roots in Cefalù, Sicily.
Barbara attended the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, Pennsylvania, and later continued her studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout her life, she was an active member of her community, a talented interior designer, and an accomplished jazz singer. Known for her warmth, authenticity, elegance, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, Barbara left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.
Surviving are her former husband, Edward Lee Mellor; her daughter, Ali Mellor Sullivan,( husband James Sullivan) granddaughters Micaela and Olivia Sullivan, her son, Nate Mellor and sisters Natalie Gregory (husband Sherb Gregory), Patty Ruppert (husband Scott Ruppert) and 2 nephews Matt and John Ruppert and her niece Kate Ruppert.
