Betsy Jane Bruni

Betsy is survived by her husband, David Bruni; her children, Ryan (Amanda) Crothamel , Kelly (Michael) Gardner, Ashley Crothamel, step-son Zach Bruni; her grandchildren, Jack and Charlotte Crothamel, Michael, Henry and Parker Gardner; her sister, Nancy (Bill) Hagerman, and her three nieces, Kristin, Joy, and Brynn. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Henry and Marjorie Ewing.

Betsy was born in Philadelphia on July 29th, 1956, spending the best days of her childhood in Willow Grove, PA. She moved to West Grove, PA to raise her children before she settled into the town of Landenberg years later.

Betsy graduated from Millersville University with a degree in early childhood education. Her endless patience is what made her a great teacher; her innate ability to care for others is what made her remarkable.

We will remember Betsy for her loving and giving nature, her outgoing and playful mindset, and her occasional, endearing stubbornness. Always looking to create memories with friends and family, she would take many opportunities to spend her time with others. As her children grew up and created families of their own, her biggest joy in life became her grandchildren. She doted on them constantly, and she could not have been any prouder of her family.

Services will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Glenside, PA on January 14, 2022 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Child and Family Focus of Kennett Square, PA.
