
She was born May 11th 1919 in Philadelphia and lived in Broomall, Pennsylvania for most of her life until she moved to Berwyn to be with her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis LaCorte (2008) to whom she was married for 63 years, mother and father - Bernardo and Maria (Tribuani-Gatti). She was one of 5 siblings: Vincent Tribuani, Joseph Tribuani, Mary Gatti and Stephen Gatti.
She is survived by one daughter- Marlyne (LaCorte) Caruolo, her beloved son-in-law John Caruolo. She was known affectionately as “Mom-Mom” to her 5 grandchildren: Vincent Caruolo, Joseph Caruolo, Johnny Caruolo, Theresa Caruolo, and Angela (Caruolo) Wertan and 4 great grandchildren (Francesca, Carolina, Dominic and Olivia).
She worked for many years in South Philadelphia as a seamstress for a Philadelphia Men’s Clothing Manufacturer. She was a wonderful cook, and loved to bake especially Christmas cookies. She was devoted to prayer and was considered the family prayer “warrior”. She was sweet and generous - always ready to lend a listening ear and help to anyone who needed to be loved.
Viewing is 9:30 am on Saturday, February 10th to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Monica’s Church on First Avenue in Berwyn. Interment will be at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pa.
