His Son and Wife were by his side as he left this world and was no longer in pain and free of all torments.
Charlie was born in Coaldale Pa on June 7th 1948 to Gus and Virginia Ferretti.
Charles spent a good amount of his childhood in upstate Pennsylvania. His early childhood was spent at Saint Ann's Catholic school up until the age of 9.
At 9 he moved to Paoli Pa with his parents and began attenting Saint Norbert's Catholic school where he would attend till graduation. After Catholic School he attend Great Valley High School where he graduated in 1966.
After high school he went on to Temple University. He spent two years there before being drafted into the military in 1968.
While surving in the Navy he met his wife of almost 50 years Barbara Ferretti. They Married on June 13, 1970 in Brunsiwck Georgia.
He was sent off on the U.S.S. America after they were married. He was a plane mechanic while serving on the America. He traveled all over the world crossing the equator, seeing the Philippines all along the way. During his time in the Philippines he saw the band Iron Butterfly which was always one of his favorite stories to tell of his time while in service.
In 1973 he was honorably discharged and came home to Georgia to be with his wife Barbara.
In 1978 he became a Father to his Son Joseph. His son was born on September 16, 1978 in Brunswick Georgia. He was a proud father who loved his son very much.
Eventually fate would bring him back to Pennsylvania with his family and that is where he would stay until the end of his life.
Charlie was an avid wood worker, modeler, train enthusiast, gardener, cook, Amazing Father, loving grandfather, Son and Husband. He was a regular church goer at his church and a devout Catholic and up until to his death prayed regularly and gave to charities.
Charlie's favorite time of the year was Christmas. He loved putting lights up with his son and goofing around in the car singing or trying to, it always made me laugh, like Dean Martin.
Charlie was proceeded in death by his Father Gus in 1988. Charlie is survived by his wife Barbara Ferretti, his loving son Joseph B. Ferretti and his wife Lyn Ferretti both of West Chester Pa, and his 9 grandchildren: Jonathan, Owen, Cody, Aeryn, Nikki, Mason, Harley, Gabby, and Loreley, whom he adored till the moment of his passing.
Charlie's mother, Virgina Ferretti, is still alive and resides in Paoli Pa. His brother Joseph Ferretti and sister in law Debbie still reside in Phoenixville Pa.
He is also survived by many relatives in Georgia and Upstate Pennsylvania consisting of Aunts and Uncles, cousins, in laws, nieces, nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.
Charlie's funeral proceedings are being held at Alleva Funeral Home in Paoli Pa. Viewing is from 9 to 10 am with a mass at 10am following the viewing also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's honor to his favorite charities such as the Padre Pio Foundation, and to his church Saints Peter and Pauls Church in West Chester Pa.
