Charles Nichols Gibson

Charlie Gibson, age 79, of Downingtown entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 28, 2012 with his wife , son and friends at his bedside.

Born August 16, 1932 in Rosemont Pa., he was the son of the late Charles A. and Masie N. Gibson. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Diane Marie Baily Gibson and his son, Gregory C. Gibson of Downingtown.

He was a graduate of Radnor High School and the Philadelphia Police Academy. Charlie worked at the Wayne Acme, is a thirty year veteran of the Tredyffrin Township Police Force and also worked as a security guard at Vanguard. Charlie also served his community as a member of the Radnor Fire Co. and the Chester County Fraternal Order of Police. He was an active member , throughout his life of several Episcopalian churches.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Charlie’s memorial service on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10 am at the Church of the Good Samaritan, 212 W. Lancaster Ave. Paoli Pa, 19301. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10am. Interment will follow, at Radnor United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rosemont.
