Charles R. McHugh

Charles R. McHugh, 88, formerly of Overbrook Farms (Philadelphia) and more recently of Berwyn, PA passed away on Sunday February 26, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Anne (nee Sweeney) McHugh. Charles was a decorated WWII combat veteran of the Battle of the Bulge, 94th Infantry Division and a Temple University graduate with a successful career in Real Estate and Insurance in the city of Philadelphia. His true passion was creating and sharing laughter and joy with his immediate family, cousins and friends. Charles was predeceased by 4 siblings; Agnes, Michael, John and Joseph McHugh. Adored by his children; Brian (Cathy) McHugh, Deirdre (Peter) Dooner, Charles McHugh, Mary Ellen (Jay) DiMarino and Moira-Deceased. Also surviving is a brother; Gerald McHugh and 9 grand-children. Relatives and friends may call on Sat. Mar. 3 at St. Norbert’s Church: 50 Leopard Rd., Paoli, PA 19301from 9-1045AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charles’s honor to Saint Edmonds Home for Children: 320 S. Roberts Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 (610-525-8800). Interment to follow at SS.
