Deborah Norris Wright, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Downingtown, PA, due to a car accident. She was born on January 18, 1961, at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She grew up in Malvern, PA, and spent her summers in Avalon, NJ. She was a longtime resident of Coatesville, PA, where she raised her family.
Debbie loved sports and grew up playing a variety of them, including hockey, cheerleading, track, softball, and horseback riding. She graduated from Valley Forge High School in 1979 and continued her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a degree in marketing.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and watching Philadelphia sports teams (Go Birds!). She had a welcoming personality and loved talking to everyone about everything. By the end of a conversation, she would have the whole person's life story!
Debbie worked a variety of jobs throughout her life and, most recently, spent several years serving as the primary caregiver for her husband, Bill.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, William; her two loving daughters, Jaimie and Darby; her stepsons, Bill and John (Jolene); step-grandchildren, Melina, Ana, Dylan, and Dawson; her mother, Marguerite; her sisters, Karen (Cheryl) and Pam (Ike); and her niece, Megan. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred, and stepdaughter, Jennifer.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Alleva Funeral Home, Inc. (1724 E. Lancaster Ave., Paoli, PA 19301) from 10:00am to 12:00pm, followed by an opportunity for friends and family to share remembrances.
