Don was a great ATO fraternity brother at Cornell - One memory was the nightly rapidly bridge games before dinner - Often I was fortunate to be a substitute and join Don 's group . The goal was to complete as many rounds as possible.. Some of the rules were 'play fast and make mistakes; 'its a lay down'; -'this card goes here'; 'I trump that card' ; and I'll cross over with this card'. Meanwhile the dummy partner had already dealt the next game.

Presumably, after graduation, his bridge manners were more civil and obeyed the classical rules.

Don attended many of the class reunions - his cheerful attitude brightened our days. He will be missed.

God bless Donald and Emily. Don was my best friend for a long time. I miss him now so much. Wish I had been closer to both Don and Emily these years since we moved out of PA.
