Elizabeth "Betty" Reger

Betty was the wife of Joseph E. Reger for 65 years. Betty was born in Murphysboro, Il but spent most of her life in Allenhurst, NJ before she was married. They had three children; Carol Reger (Greg) Mensch , Diane Reger, and Robert (Patricia) Reger. They had five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Eliza) Morris, Kelly Morris, Robert J. Reger Jr., Emily Reger and Thomas Reger.

Betty attended Chestnut Hill College, West Chester University and Villanova University. She was a teacher, guidance counselor and reading specialist. She also helped private students who could not read due to various difficulties.

Betty taught at the Tarleton School and the Haverford School for Boys. She was a guidance counselor at New Eagle School in Devon, PA and then a reading specialist at Valley Forge Middle School in Wayne, PA.

Betty and her husband, Joe, enjoyed traveling. After their retirement they traveled Europe in the summer and spent time with a group of friends in St. Petersburg, FL in the winter. She enjoyed reading and tennis. She and her husband liked entertaining friends at their home.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Reger, her son, Robert Reger, and her grandson, Jeffrey Morris.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Norbert Church in Paoli, PA. The funeral mass will be livestreamed: parish.stnorbert.org/livestream/

Interment will be private.
