Esperanza R. Barajas

Esperanza Ramirez-Barajas of Berwyn, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2015. She was 97 years old. Born June 13, 1917 in Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Natividad Ramirez Del Rio and the beloved wife of the late Maximino Barajas. She raised her nine children as well as worked in the family store attached to her home. Esperanza enjoyed being surrounded by her family, always laughing and telling stories. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Hope M. Hayes (late Frank). Esperanza is survived by her eight children; Robert Barajas (Maria), Jay Barajas (Joanne), Agnes Wilson (Ronald), Maximino Barajas, Eleanor Bovell (David), Antonio Barajas, Rosemarie Guertler (Frank) and Virginia Richter (Craig), 36 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Esperanza’s celebration of her life on Thursday, January 15th from 6-8 pm at the Alleva Funeral Home, Inc. 1724 E. Lancaster Ave. Paoli, PA. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated On Friday, January 16th at 10:30 am at St. Norbert Church in Paoli, PA. There will be a viewing Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 in the Church. Interment will be at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens Cemetery in King of Prussia.
