Eva Louise Friis (D’Ginto), of Wayne, PA, age 83, passed away on May 11, 2020 in Wayne. Eva was the loving wife of the late Jan Willard Friis for 41 years. Eva was born in Lower Merion and attended Radnor Township schools. She married her husband and they were later sealed in the Washington, D.C. Eva welcomed the Mormon missionaries into her home as a young mother and her membership in the Church is something she always took pride in and held dear.
Eva faced many challenges in her life, beginning with the loss of her own mother at the age of 16. Perhaps that is why she loved her own children so fiercely. She adored her grandchildren. A gracious hostess, she always welcomed visitors with many offers of food or refreshment.
Eva delighted in owning and managing “Janeva’s Closet”. After Jan retired as a Radnor Police Lieutenant, they attended antique and estate sales and were particularly interested in finding “Depression” era and other detailed glass to add to her fine collection, and to resell in her pop-up shop.
During the course of her lifetime, she worked for Radnor Township Public Schools, Radnor Township Police Department, and Allstate Insurance Company.
