Eva Quiñones, a devoted Mother, Abuela, Sister, Tía, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 14th with loved ones by her side, just shy of her 90th birthday. She lived a life of unwavering love and dedication to her family, friends, and church community, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Eva was the eldest of five children. From a young age, she was a pillar of strength, helping to care for her siblings with a hardworking and nurturing spirit that would define her entire life. As an adult, she embarked on an adventure to the United States with her lifelong friend, Sarita. It was on this journey that she met her beloved husband, Miguel. Together, they built a life in San Francisco, California, and were blessed with two sons.
After the birth of her first grandchild, Eva made the selfless decision to move to Villanova, Pennsylvania. Living with her son’s family, she fully embraced her role as "Abuela", spending her days loving and caring for her granddaughters, Charlotte, Emma, and Margaret. She also found a vibrant and welcoming community at St. Norbert's Church, where she formed deep and lasting friendships.
Eva is now reunited with her husband, Miguel, and her son, Robert, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Michael Quiñones, his wife Emily, and her three granddaughters. She also leaves behind a loving family and many dear friends in Buenos Aires, Argentina and San Francisco, California.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 6:30pm at St. Norbert's Church in Paoli, Pennsylvania. Burial will take place at a later date in California.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Norbert's Church.
