Evelyn R. Rafferty

May 5, 1925July 30, 2020

At the age of 95, Evelyn Rafferty of Audubon, PA, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2020.

Daughter of the late Frank and Matilda Donatoni, beloved wife of the late James P. Rafferty, Sr., devoted mother of James Jr. (Thelma), Ed, Carolyn (Cindy), and George (Patricia). Adoring grandmother to Krista Worster (JB), John, and Jennifer; and great-grandmother to Bailey and Beck. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Evelyn was known for her fun and loving spirit, as well as her love of Notre Dame football (when they won!) She loved her family above all things, especially her favorite Irishman, her loving husband, Jim. Together they enjoyed trips to Skyline Drive, their adventures in Maine, and watching golfers from their deck. They also never missed Friday Night Cards with her siblings. Evelyn’s loving nature was complemented by her strength and resilience in life. This trait will always be part of her legacy. Family, extended-family and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass, Tuesday, August 4th at 11:00 AM, Our Lady of the Assumption, Strafford, PA. Masks and social distancing are required. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evelyn’s name may be made to: The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, www.bbrfoundation.org or to the charity of your choice.

Jim, Ed, Caroline, and George,

The last of the legends of Cardinal Road is gone but never forgotten. So many good times on that street. A great friend to my mother.
A fun memory is when my parents went away and I was home watching Joe, ( and planning a party), my mom would always remind me, " Remember, Evelyn is watching !"

Our thoughts and prayers,
Dave & Ginny
