Gemilda "Gem" A. Conti

Gem was a long-time resident of Devon, Pennsylvania. She was born on October 19, 1934 in West Chester PA, to parents, Carmen DePetris and Rose DePietro. Gem graduated from TE High School in 1952. Gem enjoyed cooking and hosted many parties for friends and family at the home she shared with her husband John for over 60 years. Her happiest moments were spent with family, usually involving food, and often with her grandson, Jordan, to whom she was especially devoted. As grandparents, Gem and John were always involved and enthusiastic. They both cherished this role as anyone who spent time with them can attest.

Gem was preceded in death by her sister, Carmela Barrett.

Gem Conti is survived by her daughters Carmen Conti and Camille Vallinino, son-in-law Doug Vallinino, and grandson Jordan Vallinino. Gem’s husband John survived her by three days before joining her. Married for 71 years (as of the day of Gem’s passing), it seems fitting they would make this journey together.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA) Church, 35 Old Eagle School Rd, Strafford PA, followed by a Mass and interment also at OLA Church.
