Gena you were a great person and we at Taggart will always remember you. She was the best as a co-worker and a friend to The Migrant community. We will always love her and continue her legacy to help all with love and integrity. Que Viva Gena por siempre! The children at Taggart did an ofrenda for the Day of the Dead for Gena.

To Gena's sons and family,
Gena was my friend and I am deeply saddened by her sudden passing. I miss her. I so desperately wanted to be there at her services today, to show support and to celebrate her life, but unfortunately, I needed to stay behind here at the District. (Michelle and Jhoanna will be there to represent our office.) Please know that I am thinking of you, will be there in spirit and praying for you and your family at this difficult time. Know that there is a circle of your mother's friends and colleagues holding you up in prayer. May my condolences bring you comfort and my prayers ease the pain of your loss. Most of all, I wish you peace.
With my sincere condolences,
Dr. Debra Green

We spent many times at CAPA talking about Jose and the great work she was doing with families. I saw her outside of school and I was so impressed with her as a person. We never really got to hang out alot because we were doing the work we do with children. She was a champion to kids and their families and it was a privilege to know her and work with her and Jose. I am deeply saddened by her passing and she will be in my heart and prayers along with her family forever.

I babysat Jack and Geffa when they were young children. I always enjoyed spending time with both of them. Geffa was a ray of Sunshine with the most beautiful smile. I am so sorry for your unbelievable loss. I am keeping all of you in my daily thoughts and prayers. Sending my love and deepest condolences. Mary Beth Ryan Ranieri
