

Gertrude E. Birtwistle, 72, of Elverson PA, passed away peacefully Sunday August 14, surround by her loving family. Trudy was an immensely active woman still working several jobs and fitting in time for family, friends and her puppies. Her love of travel took her to many places including visiting all 50 states, driving across the country twice, vacations in the Caribbean and much more. Her love of animals led her to rescue dogs in need of love as well as provide pet therapy for those in need. Her life was cut short by a tragic accident, but she lived each day to the fullest.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle Vullings, of Collegeville, and her husband Brent and their children Alexandra, Gabrielle and Olivia. Her son Michael Wynn, of Mohnton, and his wife Melissa, and their children Madison and Mason along with her eldest granddaughter Carressa Dunn, of Blandon. Her sister, Maria Schlichtig, her husband F. William “Bill” and their children Tammy, Bret, and Tara. And lastly her beloved dogs, Mike, Mish, April, Whisp, Dawn, Sam, Midge and Sprinkle.
There will 10am viewing followed by mass at 11am on Friday August 19, 2016 at:

She will be laid to rest with her parents and grandparents at the:
St Peter & Paul Cemetery 1600 W Sproul Road Springfield PA 19064.
