Gloria Magliochetti O'Connor

Gloria was born July 30, 1928, to Oscar and Christina Marshall in the Bronx, NY. After graduating from St. Mary’s High School in Katonah, NY in 1946, she went on to study nursing at St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in New York. Upon graduating, she began her career at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco, NY. It was there where she met her future husband, Francis “Frank” Magliochetti Sr. Gloria and Francis married in 1953 and had three children, Francis “Frank” Jr., Elizabeth and Patricia. Francis Sr. passed away in 1976, and Gloria continued to work at private nursing homes and the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Montrose, NY. There she met her second husband, Thomas O’Connor. Gloria and Thomas were married in 1991. Thomas passed away in 1998 and Gloria retired that same year.

Gloria was a devout Roman Catholic, and her faith was very important to her. She prayed the rosary often and had a particular devotion to Padre Pio.

Gloria lived most of her life in Bedford Hills, NY. She lived in Holly Springs, NC for 10 years before moving to Media, PA.

Gloria is predeceased by her parents, brother Roland “Mike” Marshall, sister Alice Pasquale and husbands Thomas O’Connor and Francis “Frank” Magliochetti Sr. She is survived by her children Francis “Frank” Magliochetti Jr. and wife Bonnie of Media, PA, Elizabeth Saleski of Georgetown, KY and partner Mike Ward, and Patricia Lorkiewicz and husband Kenneth of Willow Spring, NC; grandchildren Sarah Napoli (Brian), Katie Malenich (Chris), Chris Laine, Jared Saleski and Zachery Saleski; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Katonah, NY at a later date. Gloria will be laid to rest with her first husband, Francis “Frank” Magliochetti Sr., at St. Francis Cemetery, Mt. Kisco, NY.
