He was a resident of Wayne, PA but also resided in Charleston, SC for 11 years while commuting for work. Harry was born on September 24, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, to parents, Harry I and Elizabeth (Babe) Baker Searfass. He graduated with Honors from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science with a degree in Textile Engineering. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. When he returned from his Service he started working for the Asten Hill Company in East Falls, PA, ultimately earning the title of VP of Engineering, working for Asten for over 44 years.
Harry enjoyed dining out and was a LONG-time patron and welcomed friend of Haegele’s Bakery in NE Philadelphia. He was a proud Republican and enjoyed Happy Hour with a Beefeater or Dewars on the rocks. Harry had a strong sense of ethics and was loved and admired by everyone he met. His sarcastic wit and quick retorts along with his loyal friendship endeared him to everyone. He was always ready to lend a helping hand as he was a Master Mr. Fix-It! He made this world a better place and will be sorely missed.
Harry was preceded in death by his Mother and Father and beloved sister, Joan.
Harry is survived by his wife, Gail (Miller) Lenuson, his daughter, Pamela Gallagher (William) and son, Harry I Searfass III.
