Joan Elizabeth Kelley

Joan was born on October 12, 1927, in Lykens, PA, to the late Warren and Elizabeth Klinger. Joan spent her early childhood years in Lykens, prior to moving to Sunbury, PA with her five siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.

Joan graduated from Saint Agnes School of Nursing and, upon graduation, began her nursing career as an Operating Room Nurse at Saint Agnes Hospital in Philadelphia. Her nursing skills were always called into action by her neighbors. She was an avid bridge player and an accomplished seamstress. She later devoted herself to raising her family, creating a loving home and countless memories for those she loved. Her piano skills and beautiful voice filled her home.

Joan was the beloved wife of 72 years to the late Eugene M. Kelley and a devoted mother to five loving daughters, Kathleen (Frank), Patricia, MaryEllen (TJ), Eileen (Rob), & Barbara (John). Joan will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and will be deeply missed by her daughters, son in-laws, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a cherished nephew, who brought her great joy and pride.
