John was a long-time resident of Devon Pa. He was born on August 31, 1934 in Bryn Mawr PA, to parents, John J. Conti, and Eleanor Conti (nee Domenick). John graduated from TE High School in 1952. He continued his education at Ursinus College and graduated from Temple Dental School in 1959. John also served in the Airforce and was stationed at Plattsburgh Airforce Base before establishing his dental practice in Strafford in 1961. John was an enthusiastic hobbyist. He was an avid golfer and an original member of Chester Valley Golf Club. As a high school and college football player, John often shared stories of his days on the gridiron. He also enjoyed raising plants including gardenias and bonsai. John spent many hours sculpting. His subjects ranged from floral arrangements to landscapes and even his grandson, Jordan. John’s happiest moments were spent with family and friends, and as a devoted husband to his wife Gem to whom he had been married for 71 years.
John was preceded in death by his wife Gemilda Conti (nee DePetris), whom he joined just three days later. It is fitting they would make this journey together.
John is survived by his daughters Carmen Conti and Camille Vallinino, son-in-law Doug Vallinino and grandson Jordan Vallinino.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA) Church, 35 Old Eagle School Rd, Strafford PA, followed by a Mass and interment also at OLA Church.
