John E. Knepp

John E. Knepp, 71, of Spring City, died Wednesday August 5, 2026 at Paoli Hospital. Born in Gilbertsville, he was the son of the late Carl Knepp and the late Shirley (Houck) Knepp. John was a 1971 graduate of Boyertown High School and attended Drew University in New Jersey. He was a boy scout in his youth, loved fishing, and was an avid Phillies fan. John sailed the Caribbean in his twenties, was a professional bass guitarist, and played locally for bands including Emerald City and Del Rocco Trio. He worked as a guitar instructor for over twenty years. Surviving are his children, Danelle Knepp, Ryan Stender, and Kristen Knepp; grandson Jason Crunetti; brother Dan Knepp, sister-in-law Kay (Mentzer) Knepp; and nieces, Rachel Knepp and Laura Knepp. He is predeceased by his niece Erin (Knepp) Warner. John will be remembered for his passion for music, the Phillies, and the outdoors. A private celebration of life will be held at Green Meadows Nursing Home.
