Amazing grandfather of Jesse, Shane, Dakota, Kyla, Molly, Lilly, Martin, and Logan. Supercool father-in-law of Rich, Brandon, Richard, and Jess. Treasured brother of Joseph Puk Jr. and sister-in-law Pixie Doyle. Dear son of the late Sophie Pastula and Joseph Puk Sr.
John was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 8, 1945. He graduated from Garden City High School in 1963. John attended University of Bridgeport where he was affectionately known as “Big Daddy” to his friends. Following graduation in 1968, he pursued his graduate studies at Fairfield University. He began a career in Advertising and Marketing on Madison Avenue in New York City.
In 1967, John met the love of his life, Christine, in college. They married on February 14, 1970 and had four beautiful children: Sarah, Emily, Jessica and Jonathan. John was a doting husband and father and he loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed cheering on his kids in sports and an abundance of school activities. His favorite vacation spot with family was at the Jersey shore. He had a passion for Philadelphia sports and was an avid fan of the Eagles and Villanova basketball. As John and Christine’s children married and had their own kids, John became the Ultimate Grandpa. He loved to dote on his eight grandchildren and spoil them rotten!
John had a playful sense of humor and a generous spirit. He brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
