

Joseph T. Mieloch, Jr., 92, Phoenixville PA passed away on 9/23/2014. He was the eldest son of Helen (née Kosmalski) and Joseph T. Mieloch, Sr. of Philadelphia. Joseph worked as a shipfitter on the Battleship New Jersey’s construction crew at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. During WWII, he was a Navy Seaman First Class in the Philippines and New Guinea. After the war, he became a union carpenter and later a small business owner in the Philadelphia area. Always willing to lend a hand with his carpentry and other skills, he will be remembered for his generosity, kind and gentle disposition, sense of humor, and expert polka dancing. He is survived by his wife – Jane (née Drzewicki); two children & spouses - Cynthia & John Rosania, Joseph & Allison Mieloch; four grandsons – John Rosania, David and wife Nicole, Christopher, Asher Mieloch; and his two sisters – Rita Squillace and husband Charles, and Dorothy Brown. At the request of the deceased, he will be honored at a private service and burial. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Phoenixville Hospital for their tireless and compassionate care of Joe during his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in his memory to Saint Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church, 50 W Walker Rd, Wayne, PA 19087.
