

Joseph H. “Pip”, 94 of Wayne, PA on January, 7, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Lena (nee Donatoni). Devoted father of David (Marguerite), Celia, Stephen (Jacqueline) and Joseph (Susan); 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A lifelong resident of Wayne, retired Security and Maintenance Director for the Radnor School District, very involved in numerous organizations in the OLA Parish. A longtime member of the Men of Malvern, where he attended annual retreats, as well as, active member of the Wayne Italian-America Club and Radnor Town Watch. Pip was a WWII Army Corporal veteran where he served in the 11th Airborne Division of the 472 Glider Field Artillery Battalion in the Pacific Theater, and was involved in the freeing of more than 2,000 civilian and Allied prisoners from the Japanese held Los Banos internment camp in the Philippines. Visitation on Sat. January 14, 10:00-11-00AM followed by an 11AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 35 Old Eagle School Rd., Strafford PA. Interment Calvary Cemetery, W.
