Margaret M. Fox 11/3/1920 – 10/2/2020 Margaret (Peg) M. Kane was born in Philadelphia on November 3, 1920. She grew up in Ventnor, NJ and Merion, PA. In 1937 she graduated high school from Merion Mercy Academy. After graduation, she worked for Beneficial Bank at their South Philadelphia location at Broad Street and Snyder Avenue. Margaret (Peg) married the love of her life, William (Bill) Fox, Jr in August of 1945 following his return from service in World War ll. In 1950, the couple moved to their home in Plymouth meeting, where Margaret remained until her passing. Margaret (Peg) was among a group of women who worked to establish the first school library at St. Philip Neri School in Lafayette Hill, PA. Margaret (Peg) later took her experience to the William Jeanes Library, first as a volunteer and then later as a permanent staff member. She retired from the library in her 90’s. Margaret (Peg) is survived by her son William (Bill/Skipper) and wife Judy (Lafayette Hill) and children Colleen and Kevin. Daughter Margaret (Peggy) and husband Mark (Lutz, Florida) and children Ben Ladd (wife Evan, children Cora and Hollis), Scott Ladd (wife Chrissy, children Emma and Andrew). Daughter Ellen Mollay (Paris, France) and daughter Marie-Catherine. Sister Anne Mundy (Hilton Head, SC), Sister-in-law Marianne Kane (Virginia Beach, VA) as well as several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Margaret (Peg) was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) in 1996, son Stephen in 2009 and her brother George (Pete) Kane in 2017. A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, October 24th at St. Philip Neri Church, Lafayette Hill at 11:00 AM. Due to COVID-19 concerns there will be no receiving line prior to the mass.
