

Marion graduated with a business degree from Wayne State University and initially worked as a high school teacher. In the 1970’s she started a personal financial management company, Marion Arnold Associates, which continued until recent years. Marion pushed boundaries at a time when few women were business leaders.
Marion was an avid tennis and bridge player. She enjoyed her myriad of friends at Aronimink Golf Club and Waynesborough Country Club. She played golf and skied until the age of 80. Marion was a fabulous seamstress, often making her own clothes.
Marion was blessed with an outgoing and engaging personality, a true people person who could light up a room. She was frequently spotted on the dance floor at the Academy Ball and other charity balls, always fashionably dressed. Marion was active in Republican politics. She was a on a first name basis with Senators, Representatives and local politicians and attended many Presidential Inaugural Balls. Marion was a lifetime member of the Union League, where her husband, Roger, had been a director.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Roger, and two sisters Pauline and Norma. She is survived by her son, Robert, daughter-in-law, Peggy, and two grandsons, Gus and Charlie. At her request, services will be private. Marion will be interred at Washington Memorial Chapel. Donations in her honor may be sent to Washington Memorial Heritage, PO Box 98, Valley Forge, PA 19481.
