Mary O. Kolodziej

Mary Osborne Kolodziej, formerly of Loudon, NH, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2016, at Highgate at Paoli Pointe where she lived since 2013. She is survived by her husband of fifty eight years, Ted Kolodziej, daughters Jane Gruen and Carole (John) Erickson and sons Brian (Kris) and Bruce (Lili) Kolodziej. She was a loving grandmother to Sarah (Gruen) Snell, Rachel and Hannah Gruen, Abbey and Connor Kolodziej and Lydia Erickson. Jonathan Snell is her infant great-grandson.

Mary spent the first eighty six years of her life in New Hampshire. She was born and raised on a dairy farm. She loved to grow and can vegetables and work outdoors. She graduated from Keene Teachers College in 1949 and spent her career teaching home economics. She retired from the Manchester, NH Public School System in 1991.

Friends may call during visiting hours on Sunday, February 28th, beginning at 2:00 pm at Alleva Funeral Home, 1782 E. Lancaster Ave, Paoli, PA. A service will follow beginning at 2:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to Holisticare Hospice: 685 Kromer Ave, Berwyn, PA 19312. Please designate the Sun Catcher Fund which grants the wishes of dying patients.
