Just a distant note from Florida.  I remember Uncle John driving us to your home on Saturday nites for games and visits and lots of fun.  Ann Louise and I became acquainted and as I recall Tommy was going to be a priest.  Sweet memories of childhood.  Your parents were a loving couple and very generous.  Aunt Josephine passed in 2004, cheerful and devoted to her rosary as always.

What a shock and deeply unsettling to hear that my dear friend, Mary Kathryn Maas died so suddenly!
My heart is broken that I have not been in touch with her and my heart is filled with gratitude that we shared so many memories together. She would always make me laugh when she would take photos of trees because she would be annoyed that all the leaves were “in the way.” She loved bare trees. When we both ministered at Misericordia Hospital and took a shuttle from Mercy Fitz, we would converse in French.  I only could muddle through in present tense but she enjoyed my efforts and we’d enjoy the ride even more. Mary was an introvert and I a flaming extrovert but we taught one another though our differences. She always needed time alone after an emotional situation and I needed to process it out loud! I loved her dearly and miss her already. Mary Kathryn Maas, you were a blessing to sooo many and I was one of the blessed.

I am so sorry and sad to hear about this. Mary was so kind, gentle and funny. She was a great person who always put others before herself. I am going to miss her and miss the silly-friendly fights/arguments that you two had. Please let me know if you need anything. Always here for you. Sending lots of love and prayer your way. She is finally resting in peace!!

Mlle Maas was my French teacher and definitely one of my favorites. My first trip to France was a school trip with her in '88. It was the start of a lifelong love of the language and culture. I wasn't the best student but she kept me interested and motivated. I can still hear her voice admonishing me or laughing with me and that makes me smile.  My prayers to her family. 

Mlle. Maas was my French teacher at GMAHS and was unforgettable.  I have remembered her fondly over the years.  My condolences to her family.

John and I were so very sorry to hear of Mary’s passing.  So sad and sending prayers to Irene and the Maas family.  We used to live next to them  and I remember Mary would often come over in the evening while I was feeding my daughter in a high chair.  That was 37 years ago!  Wonderful memories of Mary and Al and Anne and all the fam.
