As a long time neighbors, my family will never forget "Mrs. Rafferty". She was always doing good things for Karen and her friends. I remember her preparing silver dollar pancakes that we enjoyed after each sleepover. I have fond memories of the time she grilled shish kabobs for myself and my sisters. As grown ups, she made lunch for Karen and me when our first born were still babies. In addition, she was always concerned about the kids in the neighborhood and our welfare. We still laugh about the time we decided to have an impromptu Fourth of July parade and she declared, "Someone is going to get hurt!" With that, she proceeded to march into the street and stop all oncoming traffic. I have great memories of tagging along on a beach vacation with her and her family. Also, this is probably a good time to thank her on behalf of myself and others kids in the neighborhood (you know who you are) for keeping several teenage indiscretions to herself. Thank you Mrs Rafferty for everything!! My sympathy and prayers to the family.
