Maureen K. Schmidt

Maureen K. Schmidt, of Wayne, PA passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014. Born on September 22, 1947 in Brooklyn NY, Maureen was the loving wife of Joseph and the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Kealty. She graduated from New Rochelle High School in New York and went on to earn a nursing Degree from the Hospital of Joint Diseases in New York City.

Maureen began her career at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey PA helping

terminally-ill children. After moving to Wayne PA she began a new career in educational administration at the Haverford School for Boys and later at the Wyndcroft School where she served as Director of Admission from 1998 to 2011.

Her great loves were her family and her church but her passion was the nurturing and development of children. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone she came in contact with and will be missed by us all.

Maureen is survived by her 2 sons: Matthew and Brian, daughters-in-law Karen and Lisa, and 4 grandchildren Katie, Ethan, Jillian, and Wyatt.

. Relatives and friends may come to Visitation Service on Tues. April 22, 2014 at St Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church: 50 W Walker Rd, Wayne, PA 19087 from 9-10AM. A Funeral Service will begin at 10AM.
