

Alice was born in Arlington, NJ on September 16, 1920, daughter of the late Harold De Loss Bradley and the late Marie Rose (Denton) Bradley. Alice lived in Wayne, PA for 55 years before recently moving to Glen Mills, PA.
In 1943 Alice enlisted in the US Navy in the newly formed WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service). After her training at Hunter College in NY she served on the staff of Fleet Admiral Ernest J King in Washington, DC for the duration of World War II.
Alice was a homemaker and secretary for TV Guide. She enjoyed visits to the Jersey shore and to the public library.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband John K. Bush in 1963 and by her brother Thomas Bradley and sister Lorraine Riker.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 37 years, James Marks; her sons John Bush and wife, Gloria; Randall Bush; Gary Bush and wife Robin; and stepsons James Marks Jr. and wife Emily; Richard Marks and wife Ann. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held at 9:30 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Alleva Funeral Home, Inc., 1724 E. Lancaster Ave. Paoli, PA. Interment will follow in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, 352 S. Gulph Rd, King of Prussia, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Alice Marks may be made to the Tredyffrin Public Library, 582 Upper Gulph Road, Strafford, PA 19087.
