Nancy Caldwell (DiFilippo), 65, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, surrounded by her beloved husband and children, following a courageous battle with ALS. Born in Wayne, Nancy was the daughter of the late Domenic and Rose DiFilippo.
Nancy was devoted to her husband, Taylor, with whom she shared 43 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family and were blessed with four children: Brianna (Mark) Linehan, Brenna (Tom) Foy, Marissa (Adam) Darr, and Larry (Kathleen) Caldwell.
Nancy’s greatest blessing was becoming a “Nona.” She was the loving Nona to eight grandchildren: Scarlett, Savannah, and Wyatt Linehan; Brynley, Tommy, and Trent Foy; and Brooks and Riley Caldwell. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of one more precious grandchild, Baby Girl Darr, expected in October. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren and was so proud of them.
Nancy was also a beloved sister, sister-in-law, and aunt to a large and cherished family. She is survived by her brothers, Gino and Vince DiFilippo, and sister-in-law, Judy DiFilippo. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Scott and Cathy Caldwell, Ed and Maggie Caldwell, and Keith and Becky Caldwell, as well as her seven nieces.
Her family was her greatest joy, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through each of them.
Nancy was blessed with many lifelong friendships that brought her constant love, laughter, and companionship. From her long time high school friend, neighborhood friends, to her book club and countless friendships in between, Nancy treasured the special people who filled her life. She had a gift for making others feel loved, welcomed, and cared for.
Nancy devoted much of her life to raising her children and creating a warm and loving home for her family. Once her children were older, she worked at Valley Forge Elementary School and volunteered with Surrey Services. Her final and most cherished “job” was helping to raise her sweet grandchildren, a role she treasured beyond words.
Nancy’s life was defined by love—love for her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her extended family, and her many dear friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, devotion, and unconditional love that will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Services for Nancy will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Devon, PA. A visitation will begin at 10:00am, with a memorial service to begin at 11:00am. In keeping with one of Nancy’s final wishes, family and friends are asked to please wear colorful clothing to celebrate the bright and joyful spirit she brought to the lives of so many.
