

passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021, at the age 95, surrounded by friends and family, at his home in Strafford, PA. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James and Mary Cicchitti. He served in the Marine Corps during WW2 and utilized the GI Bill to earn his BS from Villanova University. After years of working for Philco-Ford, he started his computer business, NVC Computer Sales, where he won the Computer Dealer Lessors Association Man of the Year Award.
Nick loved spending time with his family in Cape May, NJ where he cherished his memories as a youth. Some of his favorite things in life were a good party, a good cigar, and a great scotch. He was a huge Philadelphia Sports fan but was most devoted to his beloved Villanova ‘Cats. He loved to “Bet on the Ponies” and at one time was a partner in racehorses. He loved boating, fishing, and his weekly Wednesday night dinners with his “Downtown Boys”.
Nick was the husband of Eleanor (Ellie) Melli Cicchitti, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. He is survived by his Wife, Ellie, his sons, James (m. Tracie), David (m. Peggy), Alexander, his daughters, Lisa (m. Sam Jr), and Nicole. His 11 grandchildren, Jessica, Andrew, Nicholas, Meghan, Dana, Courtney, Sammy III, Nina, Lisa, Michael, Alex, and his 3 great grandchildren; and by his sister, Sr Rosemary (IHM). He is predeceased in death by his daughter, Susan, and his grandson, JW.
Friends will be received by Nick’s family on Tuesday, November 2nd, from 9:30-10:45 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish, 35 Old Eagle School Rd, Wayne, PA. There will be a family Eulogy promptly at 10:45AM with the mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
