So sorry to hear of Rene`s passing.He was a talented man.As nice a person as anyone could imagine,he will be remembered.Great teammate.

Marguerite,  I have thought of Reńe often over the years and didn't connect as often as I had wished.  I'm so sorry to see that he's just passed a couple weeks ago.  No surprise to me that our connection is still so strong that I had to look him up only to find the sad news.  I know you and he had a special bond that will endure the physical separation.  Reńe was such a wonderful friend, full of joy and talent and emotional intelligence.  I feel truly blessed to have shared so many happy hours with him.  I wish you peace.  May God's Good Grace fill your heart with His Peace.

We met Rene through my father-in-law almost 10 years ago when we needed a new accountant.    He impressed me with this extensive knowledge and integrity and it was an easy choice to work with him.  We spent countless hours on the phone over that time and a good amount of that was not about accounting.  I considered him a friend and I'm sure he felt the same about me.  
He helped us through some really hard times in the past 8 years and was so genuine in his concern and caring for what we were going through.
He provided me with great life advice that I will be forever grateful for.    I enjoyed those conversations so much; we always found something funny to laugh about together.  I can't tell you how I will miss those conversations, and like everyone else feels a huge hole in my life with him gone.    However,  I am so very grateful for the opportunity to have known him and consider myself blessed to have had him in my life for the time I did.

Marguerite, he spoke so highly of you, and his voice always had an inflection when he spoke of you.  He looked forward to the evening drinks with you as we hung up the phone. Thank you for sharing his time with me over the years.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

We met Rene as an excellent accountant over ten years ago, but we will remember and miss him as a friend in the truest sense of the word.   
He embodied intelligence, humor, absolute integrity, extraordinary competence in his field, deep concern for people and the willingness to act on it, patience, kindness, and a vigorous curiosity and interest in the world. I loved talking to him about everything from cocktail tips to market predictions.  He was there for us in darker moments when we lost loved ones and he spent so much of his time to do all he could to make the logistics of estate work as easy as possible for us who stood grieving.   We are deeply sad to know we won't meet him again in this world - he will be so missed by both of us. 
Marguerite, my favorite memories include the way he spoke about you - he was so proud and happy whenever he told us about you and your time together.  Cocktails in the evening with Marguerite was an important event, just as it was for my parents (Judy and Steve), and Eric and I are starting to build that tradition too.
Let us know if we can do anything to support you, Marguerite.  He was one of a kind.

How do I say goodbye to my big brother??? You were the pillar that held us up all these years. Your care for your siblings will not be forgotten. And your help through our darkest hours is unmatched. I wish you had so much longer to be with us. The family is too small without you. Who am I going to send the special birthday cards to? I will miss your bad accent phone calls.

Rene’s death is a tremendous loss for the Malvern Prep Class of 1966.  He was an outstanding track athlete for the school - the picture is Rene winning the 880 at the 1965 Inter-Ac Championship Meet, helping us win the overall  meet championship for the school. Steve and I knew Rene for over 20 years. He was a remarkable person we and our family trusted completely. He had the highest ethical and moral standards earning respect, admiration and distinction. His dogged attention to detail and professional perfection was unparalleled. He was a cherished friend to us. Rene was perceptive, sensitive, caring, thoughtful, and kind with a good sense of humor.
