

Robert is survived by sons Robert, Jr. (wife Joanne) and James (wife Kimberly) as well as his grandchildren Katlyn (Katie and her husband Anthony Esposito), James Jr. (J.J.), Brian and Danielle, and two great-grandchildren Anthony and Emma. Janie Gerold, Robert’s companion for the last eight years of his life shares in our family’s loss.
Robert was born February 19th, 1930 in the small town of Smithfield in western Pennsylvania. He spent his formative years in the greater Pittsburgh area, served in the United States Navy and following his marriage to Patricia (Pat) in 1954 coupled with his burgeoning career with Olin Corporation relocated with his growing family to first Baltimore, MD, then King of Prussia, PA followed by Newtown, CT before settling for good back in the Philadelphia western suburbs.
Bob to many and Dad or Papa to family, Robert was an avid trumpet player and golf enthusiast who always put his family first. For those who knew and loved Bob they remember him for his constant good nature, winning smile and genuinely caring and altruistic attitude towards others.
Relatives and friends are invited to offer condolences beginning at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 22nd, at Covenant Presbyterian, 400 Lancaster Ave., Malvern, PA 19355.
