Ruth Pei Chen Tang

She was a long time resident of Berwyn, PA, Ruth Pei Chen Tang was born on October 14th, 1931in Muping Shandong, China, to parents, Kwang Ying Sun and Han Yu Lee Sun. She graduated from Taiwan Normal University with a degree in Secondary Education and taught high school social studies for 10 years at Jian Guo(Nation Builders) High School in Taipei, Taiwan. Ruth came to the U.S. in 1967 to join her husband Joshua in Detroit, MI and moved to the Philadelphia area in 1969.

Ruth was involved in Trinity Chinese Christian Church of Greater Philadelphia where she taught Sunday School for many years to our “little friends.” She also taught at the Chinese School of Greater Philadelphia.

Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She always had a cheery smile for anyone she saw.

Ruth Pei Chen Tang was preceded in death by her husband and two older sisters who all lived nearby.

She is survived by her sons, David(Lydia) and James Tang, and her grandchildren, Anna, Kayla, and Michael Tang.

A funeral service is scheduled for June 13th at 3pm at the chapel at Limerick Garden of Memories.
