

Sharon was married to Anthony S. French for 62 years. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she was the daughter of James A. and Phyllis (Bensch) Miller. A graduate of West Seneca West High School, she attended the Millard Fillmore Night School at the University of Buffalo. She was a secretary and later the part owner and a teacher at Discovery Nursery School in Lockport, N.Y., where she lived for 30 years before she and her husband retired to Morehead City, N.C. in the early 1990s.
Sharon was very active in the Junior Service League volunteer civic organization in Lockport. She led an active lifestyle, participating in tennis, golf, skiing and fishing. She was a member of the Ladies Golf Association at Morehead City Country Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Kimberly Brendle (Joseph) of West Grove, Penn. and Kenneth S. French (Darcy) of Orlando, Fla., a brother, James A. Miller (Phyllis) of Wilmington, N.C., six grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
