Throughout her treatment, Skylar displayed immense courage and strength and never lost her beautiful smile that lit up the world. Proudly, she received her 2020 diploma from Great Valley High School, where she excelled as an honor student, was captain of the cross -country team, and active in numerous clubs. Skylar’s caring and loving heart were evident when she volunteered for the Special Olympics and Alex’s Lemonade Stand for Cancer. She loved spending time with her treasured and devoted friends, especially some special times in Ocean City, NJ. Skylar also liked to cook, read, run, and travel. Disney dance parties, Harry Potter, Marvel and Disney movies were especially adored by her. Skylar, a fun and thoughtful sister to her brothers Ethan and Sullivan, was also the best role model and friend to her little sister, Sydney.
In addition to her brothers and sister, Skylar is survived by her loving parents Jaime and Clifford Seeley, her maternal grandmother Nadia Dorsey, Quechee, VT and paternal grandparents Francis and Linda Seeley, Blandon, PA.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the immensely dedicated and caring oncology staff at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Philadelphia and are requesting that donations in Skylar’s name be made to the hospital.
Skylar’s ambition was to be a teacher, but in actuality, she had been teaching by example all of her life. She was the epitome of bravery, kindness, perseverance and unconditional love.
Skylar will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know and love her.
A viewing to honor Skylar is being held on Sunday August 9, 2020 from 4 pm – 5 pm at the Alleva Funeral Home, Inc., 1724 E Lancaster Ave, Paoli, PA 19301. There will be social distancing practices in place.
