Theodore (Ted) Fetchko, aka Pete, passed away peacefully on April 11 after a long, tough fight. He was eighty-one. Ted was born and raised in Allentown, where he was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church; he graduated from William Allen High School in 1955. He attended New York University; graduated from Penn State; served in the United States Air Force; and had a long, successful career with Bell of Pennsylvania, Bell Atlantic, and Verizon. Ted was an avid golfer; a voracious reader, especially of history and mysteries; and a big fan of Netflix and Acorn. He followed sports with a passion, especially college basketball and football, and was a talented storyteller. Ted is survived by Mary Lou, his loving wife of thirty-four years; his daughters Lisa, Betsy, and Nancy; his sons-in-law Lucas Rios-Giordano and Eric Muhl; and his grandchildren Will, Ivan, Francine, and Sophia. The funeral will be held on Monday, April 16 at St. Isaac’s Catholic Church at 50 West Walker Road in Wayne. Visitation will be at 9 am followed by Mass at 10. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ted’s name to the Tredyffrin Township Library.
