Trudy Cravatta DiNardo was born to eternal life on November 23, 2018 while visiting her mother and sister in Salem, Massachusetts with her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband of thirty years, John DiNardo; a caring mother to son Christopher John and daughter Johanna Mary; a loving daughter to her mother Helen Dyer Cravatta and her late father, Salvatore Cravatta, Jr.; and loving sister to Beatrice Cravatta. Trudy was born in 1958 and grew up in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She attended St. Ann’s Academy, St. Mary’s School, Bishop Hoban High School, Allentown College of St Francis de Sales (now DeSales University) where she earned a BA in Theater and Speech Communications and Bloomsburg University where she earned an MA in Communications. She taught middle and high school English but her true loves were to lead cultural arts activities in elementary and middle schools, to participate in Clown Ministry as Sparky, and to nurture her dogs. In the 1990’s, she developed and led a Vacation Bible School at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Strafford, PA. Trudy devoted countless hours to her children as a proud mother, coach, and cheerleader. She enjoyed travel and looked forward to yearly vacations at Bethany Beach, DE. With a caring, joyful heart and vivacious personality, Trudy was a great friend to so many. She was supported by family, friends, and health professionals through fifteen months of treatment for pancreatic cancer and faced the end of her earthly life with faith, courage, and activity. She will be truly missed by her family and friends but memories of her contagious spirit and love will live on. Trudy’s family asks you to participate in a celebration of her life. An evening visitation will be held at Alleva Funeral Home, Paoli, PA on Thursday, November 29th from 6-8pm. On Friday, a morning visitation will be held at St. Norbert Catholic Community, Paoli, PA from 9-10:15am followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 am and burial at at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. As a tribute to Trudy’s colorful life, consider coming colorfully dressed! Trudy and I went to Bishop Hoban H.S. We were in the choral groups and school plays together. She was full of enthusiasm and kindness. She was committed to acting and singing well—and she did. Trudy and I reconnected a few years ago via Facebook. We messaged and spoke and she was still that fun, vivacious woman. She was so very proud of her husband John, her two accomplished children and her Mom and sister. My sincere condolences. I’ll miss Trudy and keep all in my prayers.

I was so sad to hear this news. While we hadn't seen one another in many years, I can still hear her laugh. Her energy was infectious and she electrified everyone who came into contact with her. I fondly think of her presence at OLA, and as one of my mother's favorite people. Sending the entire family lots of love.

I have known Trudy since we were 12; We went to St.Mary's Elementary, then St. Nick 's-St.Mary's, then Bishop Hoban High together. The amount of memories I have of Trudy would take a Book the size of a Bible to list them. Her energy and love of life knew no bounds . We all loved her, we are devastated by her loss; we are all better for having known and having her as part of our lives. May she enjoy eternal peace in Heaven ; let us all thank God for giving us the gift of Trudy in our lives. She will live in our hearts forever .

I so miss our weekly walks in Wilson Farm Park ... no person or dog ever got past us without Trudy smiling and wishing them a wonderful day (and giving them a good scratch if they'd let her)! We love you all and we care! Elyse & Daniel

Trudy was truly one of a kind. I met her through Conestoga when I was a teacher. I requested her as my substitute when I needed one. She was a guest speaker on her clown craft.
Trudy' s vivacious spirit will be missed by many.

I'm grateful to have had Trudy in my life. Forever a laugh and a smile! I have firmly believed that we received more than an education at Allentown College/DeSales University, we also received a very special family. Trudy was a beloved member of that family and her spirit will always be with us.

Trudy was an amazing person. I remember her from St. Ann's Academy. She was always smiling. I also remember she had an amazing voice. God bless her family. I'm sure she is in Heaven looking over all of her family and friends.

Too many memories to list, but I'll always remember when Trudy came to my classroom as Sparky. What a great day! I am also grateful that Trudy sang my friend Carolann's wedding with me. And finally, I got to slow dance with a clown at Trudy and John's wedding!
