Our beloved mother, Virginia A. Cappelli, wife of Giuseppe S. Cappelli, deceased, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Paoli Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. Virginia was born on December 24, 1929. She was a long time resident of Devon, Pennsylvania where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Ardmore, Pennsylvania in 1956. She was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Giovanna Papaloni.
Virginia graduated from Haverford High School in 1947. After graduation, she worked for The Bell Telephone Company in Wayne, Pennsylvania and then Sears & Roebucks in Saint Davids, Pennsylvania until her reitrement in 1996.
She was a member of the King of Prussia Seniors Group and actively involved in the 59er's of Wayne, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed being with her family, bowling, music and dancing, traveling and playing cards.
She is survived by her four children: Linda A. (Richard) Benko of Telford, Pa., Joan C. (Barry) Zimnoch of Malvern, Pa., Joseph S. (Donna) Cappelli and Karen M. (Michael) Falciani of Mount Laurel, NJ; Five grandchildren: Nicole and Natasha Zimnoch, Jordan and Austin Falciani and Briana Cappelli and two sisters, Angelina DiSante of Downingtown, Pa. and Lenora D'Angelo of Westcliffe, Colorado.
Virginia was a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be truly missed. She is now with the Lord and her beloved husband and at peace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Strafford, Pennsylvania at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing on Saturday morning 9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Chapel at Our Lady of Assumption Church.
Internment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania immediately following the Mass.
