Wiera Cormier

Wiera Cormier (née Bukacz) was taken home to our Lord on September 18, 2025, at the age of 100.Born on November 17, 1924, to her parents, Alexander and Anna Bukacz (née Dragun), Wiera was a longtime resident of Philadelphia. She was the beloved wife of Jean-Marcel (deceased 2009). Wiera was the dear and devoted mother of Jean-Marie, Claude (Suzanne), Annie-France, Michelle Dell’Orefice (James), Jacqueline Fromen (Bill), and Alexander. Proud Mom-Mom to 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Michael, her grandson, Mikey and her brothers, Fedir, Peter, Michael and sisters Valentyna and Anhelyna.

There will be a visitation on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 35 Old Eagle School Road, Strafford, PA. 19087. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
